A tale about building a new world…

Prepare to fly, Captain/// A Metaverse Celebration /// WeAreStarAtlas

Bask in the light, Space Explorers!

The season of launches is going strong, with many product developments coming sequentially for the Star Atlas community! In the latest 426LIVE event, ATMTA deployed four different products, and the announcement of a partnership with IBP for custom Star Atlas branded PCs and peripherals: The New Galactic Marketplace, the StarPath referral program, and the Star Atlas DAO platform, for which many new services will be introduced, and last but not least, the long-desired POLIS locking function for the Star Atlas DAO.

Each of these projects brought immense value to the Star Atlas ecosystem while laying the foundation for the final vision of the Star Atlas metaverse. In this edition, we will cover all those innovations and the experience of yet another exciting community event where one thousand people came to celebrate the achievements of the Star Atlas galaxy!

In addition, as is our tradition here at the Atlas Star ✧, the official Star Atlas newsletter wherein all things start and end, you will also learn the latest details related to project developments, partnerships, contests, assets, and, maybe even more importantly, we will be able to suspend the curtains of time, and have a peek into what the future holds for the Star Atlas community…

In this issue, our Ustur Chef’s suggestion to members of all factions is to find a comfortable seat, have ample snacks on hand, and enjoy the many delights we have prepared for you.

The 426LIVE EVENT — IYKYK

Nothing remains the same. Everything is in constant flux /// Triple-A Metaverse Work in Progress /// Immersive Unreal Engine 5 Experience.

The 426LIVE event, held on the now historic date of July 21, 2022, started in a similar fashion to the COPA festival: electrifying music, Discord chat-breaking, faction bantering, and hosts Ash and Santi making magic live! In other words, our community arrived ready to party, and they found a party prepared for them by the Star Atlas team.

Another highlight of the event was hearing from two of our partners who shared their vision of our joint future with the community.

Star Atlas and Kudelski Cybersecurity Partnership

Security first.

To kick off the event, the community heard from Scott Carlson, the head of digital asset security at Kudelski, who explained how the company ensures the cyber security of our metaverse. Scott spoke about how his world-leading digital security firm audits the programs deployed by Star Atlas while also offering preemptive insights on securing the entire ecosystem.

Security has always been an area of focus for ATMTA, and it didn’t measure the resources necessary to get the best possible partners in securing not only its assets but also the community governance structure, the Star Atlas DAO, both of which had a very thorough analysis by Kudelski and other cyber security experts in order to prevent any exploits on those fundamentals of the Star Atlas Metaverse.

Star Atlas and IBP Branded Merch Partnership

Ready for the next reality of gaming?

Next, we heard from iBUYPOWER’s Marketing Executive Producer King Perez de Tagle, an old friend of our community and a fervent Star Atlas holder. King discussed the details of a partnership between the two companies to bring the monster apparel below to life!

The New Intergalactic Marketplace — The cornerstone of a Metaverse Economy

The New Marketplace is open for business.

After our partners presented their exciting developments, it was time for ATMTA to showcase announcements it had in store for the Star Atlas community.

The first product was the New Galactic Marketplace. After valuable feedback from our community, the Galactic Marketplace has been redesigned from the ground up with an in-game auction house structure. Players may now acquire and sell the assets they need for their space adventures in a much easier and more intuitive manner.

Luciano Castillio, our Director of Product Design, pointed out that another big advancement for the new Marketplace is that it permits integration between every Star Atlas product, including the referral program. The Marketplace now becomes the basis for the Star Atlas economy and the foundation of a true metaverse galactic market.

This means that some interesting interactions between our different projects will become possible in the future. For example:

  • In the future, guilds and community artists will be able to craft and trade their own NFTs, allowing the surge of different industries linked to art and culture.
  • Regional and Faction DAOs will be able to tax or even outright ban products from their respective branches of the marketplace, allowing the entwinement of the political and economic layer of the game.
  • In the near future, ATLAS locking will permit the accrual of rewards and other benefits linked to the marketplace structure and utility.
  • Different kinds of operations will now be possible based on smart contracts.

The way we envision this is the path towards integrating the marketplace with the gameplay loops more and more, allowing our players to be the main force of the economic drive of the Star Atlas metaverse. In the future, our community will be able to experience the full thrill of interacting through virtual reality with the economic structures of the Star Atlas game, and every decision will impact the markets of the galaxy as a whole.

This is only the initial phase of our movement aimed at giving our community the most engaging metaverse experience while building a robust economy that supports players’ ability to earn income through a dedicated career in Star Atlas.

StarPath — The Star Atlas Referral Program

The second product announced by ATMTA was StarPath. The Star Atlas referral program allows community members to refer their friends to the Star Atlas ecosystem while accruing Prosperity Mark tokens. Players will be able to redeem their prosperity marks in the new Galactic Marketplace for ships while also boosting their faction rank in the Star Path point system.

StarPath’s name comes from the greatest symbol of galactic cooperation, the legendary chain of warp gates that unites the different home worlds of the three different factions, making the universe “smaller” by allowing people, goods, and services to travel at unbelievable speed towards.

Now, StarPath becomes the vehicle that will transport new adventurers to the Star Atlas metaverse, allowing them to join one of the three factions and create their own destiny in the stars.

Anthony Mason, Head of Business Intelligence at ATMTA and one of the leaders responsible for StarPath, explained during his presentation that getting started in the referral program is super easy. You just need to follow these few steps:

  1. StarPath explorers can sign up for a referral link.
  2. Share it via social media, blog, etc.
  3. When your friend signs up, have them input your link.
  4. When they purchase a new ship directly from Star Atlas using a new wallet and deploy the ship into SCORE for at least 7 days, you’ll receive a Prosperity Mark reward.
  5. Coming Soon: Prosperity Marks can be redeemed for ships and other in-game assets.
  6. If you have any further questions about how the details of the system work, find your StarPath answers here.

The Star Atlas DAO — The Materialization of The Political Gameplay

Ready to decide the fate of the galaxy, Polistician?

The final product presented by ATMTA was the POLIS locking function for the Star Atlas DAO. ATMTA CEO Michael Wagner personally presented the highly anticipated project to the community and team.

As Michael explained, the Star Atlas DAO will become the beating heart of political gameplay. By locking POLIS, our community will get access to POLIS Voting Power (PVP), which will allow them to propose and vote on different POLIS Improvement proposals (PIPs), which are basically motions for changes in the rules of the Star Atlas Metaverse.

Through this mechanism, players will be able to decide nearly everything regarding the fate of Star Atlas, ranging from the ATLAS coin inflation rate to in-game taxation of certain activities. Keep in mind that some of those features will be added in the future as the game development progresses.

Another aspect of locking your POLIS in the DAO protocol is that political participation is incentivized by POLIS emissions with daily claims for all those who have locked POLIS. Your share of the daily emissions is proportional to the share of the total PVP — POLIS Voting Power — that you have in face of the total PVP that is currently locked in the DAO. Also, your total PVP is influenced by the duration of your POLIS locking, ranging from a 0.08 multiplier for a two-week lock to a 10 times multiplier for a five-year lock.

Should politics and economy be some of your favorite gaming topics, we recommend you check out the DAO site and this special article for more information on how the DAO impacts those aspects of gameplay.

While this final release concluded 426LIVE, the team at ATMTA is already working on the next event, where our community will be granted access to even more exciting new products and advances. Keep your eyes open for future updates…

A Peek Behind The Curtains of Time — SCREAM Developments

The Calico Compakt Hero

Every Atlas Star is, by nature, embedded with hints of our project’s epic future, and today we get a glimpse of our beloved project codenamed SCREAM.

As the saying from ancient MUD folklore goes, ‘an image has a higher value than a million words.’ Therefore, instead of writing about our hangar protocol, which will allow our players to summon their ships for a crusade of galactic conquests, we will simply let this WIP video showcase how SCREAM is unfolding:

On top of that, we are pleased to announce that the crafting system that will allow our players to refine raw materials into components that will be used to upgrade starbases, as well as factor in other economic loops inside SCREAM, will be functional in SCREAM, creating yet another economic loop in the game for ATLAS.

On a final note, we would like to add that through the release of SCREAM, ships take on entirely new utility in the form of tactical gameplay and economic engagement. This includes one that has not been previously discussed: the crew. Crews will be an important part of the SCREAM ecosystem, as they will be necessary for some important gameplay loops, such as crafting and upgrading.

That’s all we can say for the moment. Now it is time to once again close the curtains of alpha. But fear not, they shall be reopened soon enough with news of other exciting new products and releases. And when that day comes, it will indeed be an incredible wonder to behold.

The Punaab Whisper — The Atlas Star Tabloid

Dear Readers! We are back for a new edition of the Punaab Whisper, and today my new assistant, Libra.iddt, and I have finally started our adventure through some of the most exclusive “alternative markets” of the galaxy in order to try to find the legendary Mni flower.

We have heard many rumors about this plant from our sources, tales of how the plant enables one to relive past events as if they were currently happening, causing devastating effects on the populations of the outer realms where the plant was harvested and used intensely until near extinction.

In order to identify a true specimen, we figured it would be best to first approach a specialist on the topic before venturing out to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.

We contacted my old friend, doctor Ecugney, from the ECOS, who is one of the galaxy’s most renowned botanists. When we told him about our quest to find the Mni flower, Ecugney’s eyes opened wide, and he ran towards his old archives, where a dusty yellow cube lay alone in the corner of his residence.

After a few seconds of fiddling with the old device, it started to portray a hologram file that read like this:

The Mní Flower

The Mní flower is a rare plant found on the planets closest to the Cataclysm, with strong psychotropic properties that enable one to relive past experiences. Aside from this primary use, scientists have been known to use the Mní flower as the basis of a memory safekeeping device, allowing people to extract and transfer memories for different uses.

The story of the Mní flower, or simply Mní, is one written over the greed and desire of many addicts and dealers, whose actions almost extirpated the plant from existence.

In the early days of the current faction’s rise, Mní was abundant in the zones that comprise the planets of the now called medium and high-risk zones, but everything changed with the advent of the Convergence War.

The dread of the most massive war ever recorded moved many to the refuge of memories. There, they would find the loved ones they lost as well as a return to better days of the distant past. It was their sanctuary from the world around them.

However, the Mní only grows in the wild, not allowing for the industrial demand that rose during the long years of the convergence war. This led to extreme supply shocks as citizens strived to acquire the ATLAS they so desperately needed to purchase the flower.

After the war, the Council of Peace restricted sales of the plant, which was already pretty much extinct, save for a few planets that were too close to the Cataclysm to be explored.

Unfortunately, dear readers, your reporter has yet to find a true specimen of this elusive plant species. Thanks to the efforts of Doctor Ecugney, we have managed to escape mostly without harm, despite the efforts of villains who tried to sell us fake seedlings. Our quest to seek out the truth remains open.

My latest inquiries into the major industries of the galaxy came back saying that the Mni flower is extinct and that none of the former suppliers currently make use of any technology involving the plant or memory extraction.

If you have any information regarding the subject, please, do reach out to the Punaab Whisper’s staff.

As always, with your unwavering support, Libra and I will keep investigating the hot topics of the galaxy. Keep your eyes open for updates on our adventures, and have a good weekend!

Roadmap Lore Reports

Our best bet is to build something similar to the EARP/// Metaverse in Light Speed Expansion /// Immersive Blockchain-Powered UE5 Experience

The lore season keeps building as we have managed to deploy five new episodes on the weekly lore reports! Follow the adventures of our many different characters across the Star Atlas Galaxy!

Our lore resumed on episode number eleven, Oni Dream Within a Dream — Part II: Star Atlas Roadmap Scan#11, where we explore more of Yago’s memories following the days of his childhood. The Mierese sees the many hardships that he endured, which gave birth to the ‘hero’ that lives within him. Suddenly, something happens, and Yago’s dream is hijacked by strange emotions and visions…

In the next issue, the plot moves back to politics at the center of the galaxy. In The Ustur CEO — The Unveiling: Star Atlas Roadmap Scan#12, we learn about the summons issued by the Ustur CEO of ATMTA Industries to address what he describes as the plans for a new galactic decentralized order, to be disclosed at a Council of Peace event called 426LIVE.

After that, our lore turns to Arabella, the Busan Executive, who receives an invitation that would change her life in The Sogmian and The Proposal: Star Atlas Roadmap Scan#13. In this episode, Arabella is contacted by one of her clients, the Panemorfa corporation, and as she reaches out to the mysterious group, she is entangled in a web of promises and opulence.

That episode was followed by The Photoli and the New Galactic Order: Star Atlas Roadmap Scan#14, in which the CEO of ATMTA Industries delivers his vision for the galaxy while proposing major changes in the current status quo. Meanwhile, a very skilled spy breaks into the archives of the Council of Peace while the attention is turned to the 426LIVE event. Nevertheless, a curious guard appears and confronts the thief.

In our last released episode, Punaabs Secrets: Star Atlas Roadmap Scan#15, The story returns to Wenn, Yago, Fang, and Pawn as they descend into the depths of the mines of Gerio, looking for the resources that would allow them to escape the planet. There, they find dangers and secrets beyond their comprehension…

The king of Raiders

Fimbul BYOS Tankship

The Tankship is a testament to Fimbul BYOS Industries’ aggressive creativity. This marvel of destruction is ready to obliterate anything that stands in its path, sides, rear or whatever angle that its many hard points weapons are able to aim. This jewel made from scraps is the main piece of some of the most important Jorvik fleets.

Noblesse Oblige

Ogrika Sunpaa

The Sunpaa is a great example of how Ogrika combines the best of its parent factions into a great vehicle for its consumers. This new freighter is ready to face nearly every threat the galaxy throws your way without losing your style or missing the deadline for the cargo’s delivery.
