Star Atlas and The Fabricant Create First-of-its-kind Metaverse Digital Fashion Challenge

Star Atlas, the unique blockchain-driven metaverse and gaming experience, has partnered with world leading digital fashion house The Fabricant to create a digital fashion design competition to dress one of its key in-game characters, belonging to the Ustur species.

The innovative design challenge asks the world’s 3D creators to let their imagination run free to design a garment aligned with the Ustur’s backstory and in-game narrative that compliments the spiritual interstellar being. Creators are encouraged to share their designs across social channels using the hashtag #usturchallenge.

The winning creation will be selected by both The Fabricant and Star Atlas teams to become a NFT asset within the game when it launches, allowing utility to digitally dress the character during gameplay or to be collected and traded by gamers.

The competition utilizes the full ecosystem of the Star Atlas metaverse to fuse digital fashion, NFTs, gaming and blockchain in a first-of-its-kind creative challenge for digital creators.

Star Atlas x The Fabricant NFT Meta-Poster #12 Leads the Way

The Fabricant has led the way by creating its own garment for Ustur as design inspiration for the challenge. The Fabricant’s digital fashion creation will be auctioned as one of the Star Atlas Rebirth series of Meta Posters on Saturday July 10, 3pm PDT.

It will drop as a Meta Poster #12 experience, featuring immersive augmented reality with a mood-altering soundscape by Ricky Desktop, the top viral musician on TikTok. The NFT piece will be on sale for a limited time period of 5 hours.

The Ustur 3D avatar created by The Fabricant to design their garment can be downloaded for free on the digital design house’s website. Creators have until midnight CET on Friday 16th July to create and submit their piece via The Fabricant’s Discord for consideration in the competition.

Winner Previewed During In-Game Repository Reveal

The full Star Atlas gaming metaverse experience will launch in stages starting later in 2021, but the winning garment from the Ustur Challenge digital fashion competition will be promoted during a preview of the in-game assets scheduled for August this year.
